“Intercultural Roundtable” is a 7 months of Youth in Action Programme, Action 1.3 project which will take place both in Lousã and İzmir. The Project will be organized by a core group of 16 young people and supported by young professionals with experience in decision-making structures. The municipality of Lousã and Activate Lousã Association from Portugal cooperation with Yaşar University and Green Light for Youth Informal Group from Turkey; will develop a project on democracy in both countries. The project aims to encourage the participation of young people in general, especially promoting female sector participation , promoting gender equality and democracy in the decision making process. It also aims to promote the inclusion of young people with fewer resources and physical disabilities. By creating a political platform for youth simulated free opinion and keeping open their actions to the community, this platform will make questions which will then be answered by political representatives. The project will be a good example in the region in this sense and will be a good model for the future youth projects in Lousã and Izmir by strengthening the dialogue and tolerance between young people. Therefore, the target group of the project is extensive and will go beyond the 16 participants by dissemination and sustainable activities.
